TRX Training Program
The TRX training program is based off of one simple principle – Suspension training. The creator, Randy Hetrick, is an ex SEAL who designed this fitness technology originally to give himself the flexibility to workout anywhere he wanted, while maintaining the intensity needed on the field when you only have 15 – 30 minutes to get a full body super-intense workout, fit for a Navy SEAL.
These are the same guys who hunted down Osama we’re talking about who train with the TRX system. It really is that powerful, and one of the reasons is because it IS so flexible. No matter your fitness level, you can totally customize the intensity of your workout to fit what you want.
If you’re a strength training enthusiast such as myself, then you’ll be excited to know that this isn’t another of those ‘body weight’ programs that may lean you out, but won’t give you the strength you’re looking for. This same system can be used to teach yourself such feats as the one legged squat, push up, chin up, and much more…All because it’s SO flexible.
Randy claims that him and his team have developed over 300 exercises applicable to the TRX training system, with even more once you count sport-specific movements. And that’s another area where the TRX training program stands above the rest – They actually give you pre-made programs for every level of training.
For example, if you’re into tennis they have a tennis TRX program. If you’re into football, they have a football TRX program. This is just showing that Randy is SERIOUS about going the extra mile to give everyone he meets the maximum potential to train their bodies.
Now I WILL say that there is a somewhat limited selection when it comes to the sport-specific bundles, and some folks have complained that the additional content isn’t worth the extra money, but of course at the same time you have others who swear up and down how effective the extra programming is. You’ll have to be the judge for yourself, but the point is that NO ONE denies the power of the actual TRX training program. It simply is a very effective approach to training, and I’m thrilled that Randy has brought it to life with TRX.
To tell you the truth, suspension training has always been something that piqued my interest, so the TRX program was right up my alley. What’s so appealing is that Mr. Hetrick has made the system SO portable that not only can you do nearly any movement on it, but you can also workout almost anywhere you go. You just need a strong anchor point, which can be anything as simple as a tree or a door.

You get the actual TRX system, a door anchor for portability, a bag, a quick start guide and a full training DVD, so everything you need to start tearing it up with the TRX. I highly recommend this system, as it’s extremely portable and requires NO other investment then the initial, which isn’t something I get to say too often.
